Service and Aftercare

To Ideal Eyes, service and care is paramount, for every customer, every visit

We have been looking after the vision of the Oxfordshire community for over 25 years

We provide both NHS and private eye tests and we ensure that our fully qualified Optometrists have modern technology at their disposal to care for your eyes.

Our three independent optician practices combine the quality and personal service of a small independent optician with the choice, prices and offers that compete with the larger chains.

Our choice of frames is second to none with prices starting at just £69.95* for a complete pair all the way up to a fabulous range of designer frames. You will be guided through the process of choosing the best frames and lenses for you by our qualified dispensing opticians.

Children are well provided for with our extensive collection of free frames and generous discounts off standard and designer frames.

Contact lens wearers are welcome to join one of our convenient schemes and if you are considering trying contact lenses why not book in for one of our free contact lens assessments.

Service is paramount

Paul Spencer opened the first Ideal Eyes store in 1984. Having worked for both large groups and private independent opticians, he was convinced there was a need for a different approach to the business which combined the best qualities of both.

Service is paramount at Ideal Eyes, it is our mission to ensure you are looked after by fully qualified and experienced optometrists to monitor and protect the health of your eyes and that you’ll then have the choice and access to the products that are right for you, with continual care even after you’ve left the practice.

Keeping in touch

Here at Ideal Eyes, we believe that customer satisfaction is an ongoing and evolving two-way process. Our relationship with you does not end when you walk out of the door with your glasses or contact lenses.

After your eye test, with your permission, we place you on a recall system and we will contact you inviting you back for your next test at the interval recommended by your Optometrist (usually every two years). If you are a contact lens wearer, we notify you when it's time for your contact lens check-up, as well as sending to you or advising you about your next batch of lenses.

Continuing care is all part of the service at Ideal Eyes

Typically, we see our patients every two years when they come for their regular eye examination or to buy their new glasses/contact lenses.

But if you need to see us more often we are always here for you. Your spectacles receive a fair bit of wear and tear with regular use and inevitably small problems will occur over time, such as missing nose pads or screws, or accidental damage or breakage.

Free minor repairs and adjustments service

We offer our patients a free minor repairs and adjustments service, in fact many of our frames and lenses are supplied with a two year no quibble warranty. We will replace nose pads or screws on frames bought from us at no extra charge. Just pop into your branch where one of our dispensing staff will usually fix things there and then. More major problems will be assessed, and we'll advise you of any costs and lead-times involved before we return them to you in good order.
